Das Unternehmen Simonsen wurde im Jahre 1892 von Carl Simonsen in Hamburg als Heringsimport gegründet. Seitdem hat sich die Firma zu einem Vollsortimenter für Industrie, Räuchereien, Groß- und Markthandel, SB- und C&C- Märkte sowie LEH entwickelt.
